Up, Up & Away!...

......... There are some things that are just timeless. Certain places & occupations create photos that could have been taken 50 years ago or just an hour ago. That being said, I've always wanted to do photograph a small time pilot. I don't know why, but it's just always had that "timeless" appeal to me. I did the scout the other day and I think there is a project in there, looking forward to letting it develop and learning more and more about the air up there...

St Olaf & The Thorburn Group...

........ A few months back we enjoyed a week of shooting with The Thorburn Group & St Olaf College. We collected lots of content and had the pleasure of working with a great group of students to tell the story of what it is like to go to school up on the hill in Northfield. It's Launched! New & Improved...

..... Excited to launch a new website. We've made a lot of changes to www.alexanderzoltai.com and could not be happier to share it. The images just seem to jump more full screen. The colors, the laughs, the people all seem bigger and better to me. This is the third website we've had in the last four years and I could not be happier to have landed at this point. Teeeeny Tiny Grapes...

....... Some additional footage from Argentina to be shared in the upcoming weeks. Here are a few stills of the start of the 2014 wine harvest in the world famous wine producing region of Mendoza. Famous for malbecs, steaks and awesome olives, Mendoza sits on the far western border of Argentina very close to Chile. Sights, sounds and smells a plenty, this was a fantastic area to have a camera in...we're out of town at the moment, back shortly...

Shooting Outdoor Gear In Argentina...

Shooting outdoor performance gear in Argentina = awesome time. After shooting at the base of Aconcagua, the largest peak in all of the Americas (almost 23,000 ft!), it seemed only right to grab a celebratory wrap shot. Some really cool stills came out of the shoot, and what better way to wrap a great week of shooting that sipping a nice wine way up in the Andes? Back in town for the week, we're deep into some edits that should allow some cool work to be shared soon...

BTS w / The Thorburn Group...

......... I recently had the chance to put together a great team for a shoot with The Thorburn Group. We'll put out more teasers and info about this still & motion collaboration when we can. Until then, here are a few behind the scene shots showing how this project came together from the ground, the climbing wall and behind the monitor. Lots of different looks to make it work. A surprise vantage point on the last day gave us the finishing touch...back in the USA now, more to come from that soon too...

Bauer Hockey / Calgary...

............ Just a few weeks back we jumped a plane to Calgary to work with Evander Kane & Jordan Eberle for a shoot with Bauer Hockey. They were just finishing up team Canada practice for the upcoming Olympics and took time out of their schedule to work with us on a shoot for the new Apx2 stick. Lots of fun to be on the ice with them, great guys and easy to work with. Thanks to all involved to make this a great project! Getting a great project from the last week wrapped up and prepping to head wayyyyyy south for a shoot...updates to come...

Toronto / Bauer Hockey...

........ A few weeks back we headed up to Toronto to spend a few days with our friends at Bauer Hockey & some of the finest hockey players on the planet. With the launch of a new stick and the start of the NHL season just around the corner, I thought I'd share a few shots to get us all in the mood. More to come from a summer of fun projects soon...heading out on a project tomorrow, cameras in tow, to catch some early morning light...

Lacek Group / Oglivy / Dupont...

...... Some tears from a project shot for The Lacek Group, always an awesome agency to work with. This project had us in a Minneapolis studio shooting farmers as part of a new pride campaign. Many thanks go out the all who helped out to make this come to life! We're in the cities gearing up for a cool motion / still project next week...

Lovin' Where You Live...

.... I am proud to be living and working here in Minneapolis. I was also proud to be called by PDN a few weeks ago and asked to contribute to the September issue which featured an article about what it is like to work in the Minneapolis market as a photographer. They were kind enough to feature an image along with some quotes. It really is a great place to be and I could not be happier that we work in place that values good creative talent...

Banff / Calgary...

..... Had the pleasure of heading up to Calgary recently for a shoot that I'll fill you all in about soon. Until then, enjoy a few scenes from what we got up to on our day off. Exploring the Canadian Rockies. Deep blues, long sleeves and a heavy scent of pine trees guided us around the park, which is remarkable. We've got a some cool things going on right now and will share what they are as soon as we can. Till then, know that Canada is an amazing place...where else can you get "caesar salad" flavored chips?...
