...... To everyone that we had the pleasure of working with this year, thank you. It is a gift to be able to shoot for such great clients. Always striving to improve, I always look forward to a few moments of reflection looking back at the end of the year & seeing at what we were able to create in the last year. 2014 brought on great challenges and projects that I am very thankful for. Hot Days In Bean Town...

...... Sometimes when it's chilly out, you got to remember those days when we lay on hot pavement to get the right shot. Remembering one of those days today from being out in Boston, MA this summer on a project...

Starkey Hearing Technologies...

......... A few weeks back we teamed up with Starkey Hearing Technologies to capture the process that one goes through with an audiologist to get fit for hearing aids. It was an amazing thing to learn more about, both hearing aids and the work that Starkey does. Their work outside of the US has them aiming to give away more than 1,000,000 hearing aids to those with needs in other countries, all within 10 years! Really awesome and they have fantastic support from around the globe. Proud to have been able to partner with them! Thanks to all involved on this shoot!

FedEX / Annual Report Cover...

...... Was thrilled to get a copy of the FedEx Annual Report featuring one of my images on the cover. The feedback on the cover has been awesome, with the client saying "one of the best covers in a long time." I shot this trying to convey the pride of their brand in one shot. California Dreaming...

.... We're back in MPLS now and gearing up to shoot in town again this week. After shooting a few projects in sunny CA last week, it's time to find the Sorels back here at home. Just a quick snap for the time being from last week, more to come...

Learning From The Best...

A huge turning point for me as a shooter was learning how to work with real people & working in a way that made them comfortable and allowed us to work together to capture the most authentic images possible, together. Nothing has served me better than the time I have spent in Latin America shooting over the years. Images that I love, lessons learned and experience that I carry with me on any and all productions that we work on...speaking of, we're working on some really RAD stuff, just you wait...

International Institute of Minnesota...

..... Shot a bit for the International Institute of Minnesota the other week. Some on location shoots throughout the day ended with us shooting a family getting to the US for the first time. A really interesting experience and shoot to be a part of as you're photographing a very delicate and super intense moment. The family of 10 had never flown before and getting into MSP was both their first time in a plane and on US soil, I was grateful to be there. A few shots of some of the girls waiting for their luggage...heading out of town to shoot some really cool stuff soon!...updates on the way...

Corn For Thought...

...... It's great to be out shooting more agriculture work on these lovely fall days! I always feel lucky to be out there in the fields, asking questions and snapping away. Great to work with farmers all over the country again this year. Thanks to all involved!

Fields Of Gold...

...... It's agriculture time of the year! This is when we're out in the fields, getting mud on our shoes (and cameras) and enjoying the beauty of the mid-west. We've been out shooting it the last few weeks and are continuing with that theme throughout the upcoming weeks. Learning a lot, shooting a lot and having a lot of fun, agriculture shoots always produce awesome images! Just wanted to share some snaps from a few weeks back, enjoy!

......... I was down in Chicago a few weeks back with McDonald's. We were asked to go down to create a series of lifestyle images for what is one of the most iconic brands in the world. I had a great time and really enjoyed working with everyone on board! Thanks a million! We really were lovin' it...

......... Ohio is where we are calling home this week. I just realized that I have not checked in on the blog for a few weeks and am getting back to it! It's been a wild few weeks of being on the road and shooting through a very busy June. ........ A few weeks back we headed over to Montreal, Quebec with Bauer Hokey for a great stills shoot. Working with some awesome guys who will soon be jockeying for position in the NHL playoffs, we spent a day capturing stills focusing on the small moments that create big emotions. Tons of fun & and thanks a million to all involved!

FedEx...

......... A little while back we did a great library shoot for FedEx. Adding to their library of images, we worked to produce images that would feel more "wintery." The finished product was great and everyone walked away from the project super excited about the content. Everyone also walked away from the project cold & wet, but that's beside the point. Thank you SO much to everyone involved on this production! From snow stylists, to crew & producers, we had an awesome group of people working to make this happen...

Own The Moment / MSHSL...

.... Love shooting the MSHSL tournament with Bauer Hockey & we've been lucky enough to do it for many years now. Hockey has it's moments, great poignant moments that are as unique to the sport as the smells we experience when we're in the locker rooms. I had an awesome time collecting images that define these moment from at years event, and seeing some familiar faces along the way. Bags packed, wheels up, time to head out of town...

When We're Glad We Have Cameras...

...... Sometimes we're at places, doing the simplest of things. Grabbing a quick meal, a beer with a friend or whatever. And something happens, something cool and out of the ordinary. It is those moments when having a camera is so awesome! A friend celebrating a birthday in a small restaurant, giving an impromptu jazz concert at his table for a gift was one of these occasions. The music was great, the gesture grand, and the restaurant was sure glad it happened too because I think wine sales tripled that night...

........ We were north of the border a few weeks back in Toronto with Olson & Bauer. We'll have to wait to share the images till later, but enjoy a few randoms from the week in the mean time...chestnut crushing shoes & ads we've shot in French were among the highlights...thanks to everyone that helped pull it off! Now, we're praying for snow for tomorrows shoot...

Saintly City Cat Show...

.... Flew back into town this weekend from a shoot out west and went to cover the Saintly City Cat Show. It was there that they crowned the king and queen of the winter carnival, a very prestigious award as you can guess. The judging process was almost as interesting as the feline contestants themselves...Looking forward to sharing some new work soon as well as heading out of town over the next few weeks to create some more new stuff. Check back...

Out On The Pond...
