Wyoming...

...... Just got back from a week of shooting out west again. Always a favorite location for shoots. This time we were out in Wyoming. Just a few images from a climbing shoot. Got to drive through a blizzard in June, sweet! Batteries are charging as we're back in MN for the time being...

.................... Not able to say what it was or who it was with. But Vermont and New Hampshire recently provided us a lovely backdrop for a week... hope to fill in the void soon...

Round The World...

..................................... I had the pleasure of being brought in by the International Institute of Minnesota to shoot and brand the Festival of Nations again this year. For me, this is a really fun assignment. Lots of interesting dress, food and faces to shoot for an evening. Plenty of opportunities to make some really interesting photographs. There are lots of pots in the oven over here, hoping to share some of the new work soon, stay tuned!

Imagine Publications...

....... A late season snow storm followed us out of town as we headed to Western Minnesota for a portrait shoot with our friends at Imagination Publications out of Chicago. I chose a route that would take us through Darwin, MN, which just happens to hold the world's largest ball of twine made by one person. Francis Johnson worked for years to make the ball, which is really quite impressive. Aside from the twine, it was a great shoot, getting us to an part of the state I had never been, always a treat. Thanks Tiffany!

LIFETIME FITNESS...

....... A great recent project took us out of town for Lifetime Fitness. We had an awesome team from around the country on board for this, complete with a large panda head. Thanks a million to Kristy, Jason, Matt, Drew, Jake, Jeff, Jonathan and the many others who helped with this production. Just got back into the cities last night after a great shoot on the east coast and am looking forward to getting back into the MPLS swing here this week!...

Climb On...

..... Last weeks project took us out west. Updates on the work to come soon. In the mean time, I found myself with a half day to kill before flying back to Minneapolis. Driving out to Red Rock Canyon (not too hard to see where it gets its name), some awesome rock climbing quickly filled the afternoon for me and my assistant. Really cool place, worth checking out. This week we're back in the cities before heading out East for a project next week. Check back soon for more!

Ain't That Sweet?...

....... A recent white seamless shoot for House Of Talents had me shooting jewelry (I think it almost looks like candy!)...not a common shoot for me but really fun to work in a studio context photographing something different! House Of Talents is a really cool company that imports african products from Ghana and Mali, selling them out of Minneapolis. ORANGE ya glad it's Spring?...

........ A recent project took me to Florida for a few days. After wrapping the project, with a few extra hours on my hands, I headed up towards the orange orchards of central Florida. Finding a group of migrant workers, I started to explain "I am a photographer from Minneapolis here for a..." when the worker cut me off saying "no man, these are oranges." I realized he thought "Minneapolis" meant "mini apples," so we switched to Spanish and they agreed to let me shoot the harvest with them. It was an awesome afternoon, complete with fresh snacks as far as the eye could see...

What's Up Doc...

.... MDP, a Doctors Without Borders type of organization, recently asked me to go shoot a project with them south of the border. It was a great project to collaborate on and one with no shortage of stories to tell. I've shared a little bit of the out-takes from the trip, but wanted to post a little of the content captured for the project. The team traveled to seven different locations and were able to do some great work in the short time they were there. Thanks to all involved on the project! Some cool, new work on its way...

Going To Miami...

...... We've got portfolio showings in Miami all week. The books will be splashed all over the white sand beaches of Florida. Get em while they're hot!

Back In The USsr...

....... Good to be back in Minneapolis after a couple of weeks on the road shooting. Lots of new images to sort though and lots of new ones to create as we are coming back to some great, fresh projects. The shoot went great and I will do my best of share when they become available. Outa Here!...

..... It was a busy last week. Lots of calls, estimates, jobs, shoots, editing and it came down to the last day with a great studio shoot today in North East. Thanks to clients new and old from the last few weeks for some great productions! Tomorrow will take me out of the country for a few cool, caffeinated project...stay tuned...

Shooting @ 6,000 feet...

...... Getting a few things tweaked (a few new pieces of gear in the bag!) to go on a shoot in a few weeks where we'll be documenting coffee production in Guatemala & Mexico. It should be a great project & a very interesting collaboration. Shooting in other cultures is always a great challenge, one that can show you how to better approach projects in your own country. Looking forward to sharing a few images and motion upon returning.

Gettin' After It...

......... A new motion project took us around the cities at the end of the year. Boxing, wrestling and hockey providing the action for the project. As initial cuts come back, it looks really cool. I'll post some edits from it as soon as we can, hopefully it'll be done before a cool international assignment comes up at the end of the month (!). With a new year holding much promise for cool, interesting collaborations, many thanks go out to all clients for a fantastic 2012. THANK YOU!
