Cien Años en Peru...

Did you know that this is the 100 year anniversary of Hiram Bingham re-discovering Machu Picchu? The Yale professor spent some time unearthing this beautiful site before getting elected to the US Sentate. I had the chance to shoot a photo documentary in Bolivia and during the trip went into Peru for a week where I had the chance to shoot some images of the old Incan city...

Had a few extra seconds to snap this gross shot on a shoot. Seemed like it was destined for a blog entry for the 4th.

Getting My Feet Wet...

Thought I would share a snap shot of what things look like on shoots some times.
This was from a shoot on Japanese fishing boats. We were out in the Pacific fishing for some very strange types of fish. Got a little wet, a little fishy and a little more appreciative for how hard it is to catch the things...

Had to go to Chicago last week for a shoot, spent all of one day there and right back up to Minneapolis. I did find the time to stop by one of my favorite places in the world however, Johnnie's hot dogs. On a hot summer day, there really is nothing like it...

Got to head out West recently to profile rock climbers for an editorial shoot. Like last year, shooting climbers in and around rock proved to be a great assignment with lots of visually interesting content everywhere. Great shoot, decent weather & stunning geography...

To Be A Gunner...

Recently had the opportunity shoot an Arsenal game via the Premier League. To be that close to the action was amazing, literally just a few feet away from some of the best players in the world. Arsenal ended up beating Manchester United 1-0 too which was great. For the time being, this is all I am able to share however, just a taste of the action... Will be shooting out West next week, updates to come...

Like many people who grew up in the Twin Cities, I was sad to see Porky's close its doors last week. A great spot to meet over the years, there was no better place to see some hot rods on a Friday night and grab a soda & a bite to eat.
On its last day, I headed out to brave the long line and take a few shots of it before it was no more.
