Working with the International Institute of Minnesota, I recently had the chance to shoot groups of refugees arriving in Minnesota for the first time. Documenting those first moment, first smells and first sights was really interesting, especially when they are things you know so well. I had the chance to shoot in and around the airport, with the second part of the shoot soon to take place in the homes on Minnesota's newest citizens.
