Back in Minneapolis after a great week out in DC. Had a great shoot and a great time enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city.

Just wrapped a shoot with Target here in Minneapolis and will be off shooting in St. Louis, MO all of next week.
An exciting project awaits us down south, and we'll be home just in time for the holidays!...

Back Out East...

In My Lifetime...

A recent shoot with Lifetime Fitness had me profiling runners for some of their promotional materials. It was a beautiful morning and we had some great light to work with. Looking forward to more collaborations in the future. Thanks very much Drew and Mark...

Budwesier/Momentum Worldwide...

Had the chance to do a shoot for Budwesier recently via Momentum Worldwide in St. Louis.

This is all I can share for the time being, but it gives you a taste of the product we were profiling. Lots of beautiful reds and iconic branding throughout the whole shoot.

Tree Top Orchards...

Portland, Oregon...

Just got back from the west coast. Showed some portfolios around town and had a shoot that will be shared soon. Not going to say too much, except to expect some cool new content from "The Fruit Loop" just west of Portland, OR.

A great city, lots of cool creative places and talent to offer and unreal grilled cheese of all things...

So, that said, and this photo shared... what did I think of Portland?

A) Impartial

B) Loved it

C) Never will return

Ocean Spray Cranberries/Wisconsin...

A couple stills from our recent shoot capturing content on cranberry bogs in Wisconsin. This project was a video shoot and as soon as I can share some of the project, I will do so! Got some great angles, great color and great people on this one. The challenge of capturing stills as well as motion on a project makes for a really fun, thorough shoot. Hope to post soon...

Just got back from the west coast, had a great shoot out there and will put out some teasers as they become available... Happy Halloween...

Vancouver BC/Bauer...

Recently got back from a shoot in Vancouver, BC. Really a great city, hope we end up there again soon. Shooting Ryan Kessler via Bauer we were shooting on sweeps as well as locker room sets. This is all I can share for now till next year though. A special thank you to Mindy, TJ, Corrie, Ryan, & The Skunk. We'll be back soon!...

A New Life...

Working with the International Institute of Minnesota, I recently had the chance to shoot groups of refugees arriving in Minnesota for the first time. Documenting those first moment, first smells and first sights was really interesting, especially when they are things you know so well. I had the chance to shoot in and around the airport, with the second part of the shoot soon to take place in the homes on Minnesota's newest citizens. Stay tuned for the second installment of this project...

Next week I'll be showing portfolios in and around the massively creative city of Portland, Oregon...

Prep & Production...

October is here! Going to be a busy month of my end with shoots, portfolio events and some new exciting content from all over North America. Finishing up some work today, then getting ourselves to the airport to head out on a for a project for the rest of the week. Hope to share some of it soon... for now, running on all cylinders...

Pushing The Brand...

Some new promotional material and branding is just coming back from the designer. Really excited about a newer, fresher look. Decided to get away from the block color from the last few years and throw in a little bit of texture.
This will be implemented in everything from invoices to promos to email blasts. Hope you enjoy the new look, enjoy the fall weekend!...

Outtakes...

It is always exciting to see how work gets used in the final product. Here are a few examples of some in store signage shot. A few silly outtakes in there as well. It really brings the projects full circle once you see them printed up. Lovely.

Had the pleasure of shooting with Colle + Mcvoy recently. We had a two day shoot with Winfield Solutions/Land O' Lakes that took us around the great state of Minnesota. We learned about corn, soy beans and so much more...

Advance Auto Parts/Virginia...

Back from shooting out in Roanoke, Virginia with Advance Auto Parts. We had a great three days of shooting. Laying on garage floors, getting oily and happily snapping away. Getting excited for next weeks shoot, more to come on that soon.

In the mean time starting to wade through piles of images from the last few weeks.

Back in Minneapolis...

Back from a great week on the road. A mere 17,440 shots later. Will be hunkered in front of the monitor for a little while here, updates and teasers to come.

Thunder Bay, Ontario/Bauer...

Just got back from the north country wrapping up a shoot in Canada for Bauer Hockey.
The shoot had me profiling the Staal borthers, all of whom play in the NHL.
We spent a day shooting in and around Thunder Bay and a day on the ice & in a locker room.
It was a great shoot and we got some awesome new content. Thanks to everyone who helped out on this.

Just touched down in Washington DC where we will be shooting all week.
It's hot out here, updates to come...

Cien Años en Peru...

Did you know that this is the 100 year anniversary of Hiram Bingham re-discovering Machu Picchu? The Yale professor spent some time unearthing this beautiful site before getting elected to the US Sentate. I had the chance to shoot a photo documentary in Bolivia and during the trip went into Peru for a week where I had the chance to shoot some images of the old Incan city...

Had a few extra seconds to snap this gross shot on a shoot. Seemed like it was destined for a blog entry for the 4th.
Looking forward to July, it'll be a hot one, one that will be taking us around the east coast for some shoots... updates to come...

Getting My Feet Wet...

Thought I would share a snap shot of what things look like on shoots some times.
This was from a shoot on Japanese fishing boats. We were out in the Pacific fishing for some very strange types of fish. Got a little wet, a little fishy and a little more appreciative for how hard it is to catch the things...

Had to go to Chicago last week for a shoot, spent all of one day there and right back up to Minneapolis. I did find the time to stop by one of my favorite places in the world however, Johnnie's hot dogs. On a hot summer day, there really is nothing like it...

Got to head out West recently to profile rock climbers for an editorial shoot. Like last year, shooting climbers in and around rock proved to be a great assignment with lots of visually interesting content everywhere. Great shoot, decent weather & stunning geography...

Check out the new Chastity Brown feature on the website, you'll find it under the "campaign" section. Recently signed to a Nashville recording label, Chastity can be seen at venues throughout the US. I'm excited to say that the body of work is still growing and will be updated as it comes in, check back often...

To Be A Gunner...

Recently had the opportunity shoot an Arsenal game via the Premier League. To be that close to the action was amazing, literally just a few feet away from some of the best players in the world. Arsenal ended up beating Manchester United 1-0 too which was great. For the time being, this is all I am able to share however, just a taste of the action... Will be shooting out West next week, updates to come...

Like many people who grew up in the Twin Cities, I was sad to see Porky's close its doors last week. A great spot to meet over the years, there was no better place to see some hot rods on a Friday night and grab a soda & a bite to eat.
On its last day, I headed out to brave the long line and take a few shots of it before it was no more.
